I'll tell y'all what I explained to Noelle: season two of the Saga is really just me trying to see if I can write violence and sexual tension. Season one was squishy romance, and Riss and Kalin were really cute and very chaste, but Islana and Cleran (not to give anything away, y'know...) aren't so much chaste. Cough.

It's working out a bit better, though...

Name: Hall
Aliases: Hana, Hala, Lana, and other variations on her name
Appearance: average height (taller than Jarmee), cranberry/wine colored hair, blue eyes, peasant dress (usually earthtones)
Personality: she suffers from nymphomania, pyromania and kleptomania (or at least, she seems to...) and also occasionally hears voices. Overall, she's your average unbalanced, no-regard-for-the-law type.
Her Damage: Hall doesn't remember anything about her childhood until she was about thirteen and was on a pirate ship. She has no idea how she got there, and the captain (an old man named Jedrig) isn't telling, either. She went through a series of misadventures building up contacts in the criminal world, everyone from forest bandits to the Head of the Guild. However, she had a slight misunderstanding with him--the Guild is a giant criminal force that controls pretty much all the illegal activity in the known world. (Thus they're really powerful.) Hall decided she didn't want to be a part of it, and tried to kill the Head of the Guild. He sent one of his best assassins after her, but due to complicated things, they ended up sleeping together instead. He was kicked out of the Guild and warned that they'd kill him if they ever caught him, and so he's trying to redeem himself by killing *her*. (Needless to say, they broke up.)
She's been hired by Jarmee to keep him out of sight.

Name: Jarmee
Aliases: Whatever Hall tells him his new name is o_O;
Appearance: Shortish, green hair, green eyes, always carries a shortsword with a blue jewel in it, usually dresses like the spoiled rich kid he is
Personality: self-centered, spoiled, totally unable to deal with responsibility, commitment of any sort, generally a jerk
His Damage: Jarmee was the third son of a minor King, and (despite what he thought of himself) was pretty unimportant until destiny chose him to be the next High King (by sticking him with That Damn Sword, as he calls it.) Not wanting to deal with anything that in any way involved responsibility, he ran away and went into hiding. So now there's a war brewing because of his selection as High King, as well as some varous (as yet undecided by me) form of evil rising, *and* no one can find him.

Our boy Cleran (er... *my* boy Cleran, I guess technically) is a bit of a manic depressive, it occurs to me....

Aran's card. Not as good as it's partner card, but then, also done about five times as quickly.

Eeeep! I'm so excited! I actually computer colored something and REALLY like it. (I IMed Leah and made her look and tell me it was pretty, because I'm a brat like that.) Anyway. It's the newly-colored version of Juriah, and I've declared to to be the Juriah Eshton Trading Card.

He's pretty.

I know it's not perfect; the scabbord kind of sucks, the shading in a lot of places is kinda... odd... but overall, it's the best thing I've done yet and I really like it. Drooooool. Cough. Don't mind me.

I think I want a very unspecified character to be named Avrim... The problem is that it's pretty much a direct steal from my sister, who I know has a character named Avram, and I'm really trying to move away from, well, copying other people in my writing. But Avrim has sort of become his name against my will. Hmmm. It's really hard to change things like that once they're Decided. Even if it wasn't me who did the Deciding. The only character I've ever forced a name change on and had it work was Dysis, but I still find myself slipping up and writing Khevyn sometimes. Though now that sounds wrong, so I guess it worked...

Bwahahahahaha!

"He was furious at her comments and the blow had made it worse, and at that moment, he wouldn't have cared if she'd thrown herself off a cliff. "

The irony is staggering. Those of you who've read the Saga all the way through know what I'm talking about. Heh.

Did that even make sense? :P

I'm rereading the early parts of the Saga... Not the first episode, that's too painfull... But eps two and three. (Normally I don't read anything before five, which is what I sort of consider the turning point from utter crap to a decent story.) On the one hand, it's not as bad as I expected. It certainly could be far worse...

But it's still pretty wretched. I'm cringing about every other paragraph... I thought it was written a bit longer ago than it actually was. It was only a year and a half ago when ep three went up (ah, the joys of an updates page that dates back to June 2000...) so I figure I must have improved a decent amout in the past year and a half. I hope so. Otherwise, I think I'd have to strangle myself and lock myself away from keyboards, paper, and other things on which I could potentially take out my wrath in the form of a story...

A few posts down there's a giant thing about Eloria and how I was redesigning it. This is the craptastic map. It looks like Pac Man, I'm aware. No names of countries/cities/whatever yet. Also, it's impossible to read. That's not just on the computer, for the record.... Anyway. It's from this world that these two hail; same pic as before, but now in color. Wooooooooo.

Meanwhile, in another project entirely, there's this. I wish I could draw hands. And, y'know, a gun for her to be holding. Don't mock me too much; I'm aware of how much I suck. Anyway. If it wasn't for my inability to draw, this would be a disturbing picture (for me :P). Her name is Jain, and she hates pretty much everyone. Um. It's a project that my friend Sarah and I have been planning since eleventh grade, but probably won't ever go anywhere. I know, sadness. Um. I got bored coloring partway in.

Finally, there's this guy. His name is Aiden, and Leah (my other coconspirator) and I have been debating the merits of him as the local badass as opposed to geek. Well, and as opposed to a girl, which is what he was until yesterday. So. Yeah... Um... The face sucks. The rest is ok. The band t-shirt is for Ultimate Fakebook, who I saw opening for Sloan.

So... That's all. I know, you're sobbing for more. Perhaps tomorrow~

Slenna, computer colored. I suck quite badly... But that part of the picture wasn't as bad as the whole thing, so thus I'm not showing the whole thing. :P

I'm reworking Seven's Story... Currently mapping out Eloria, the world where this all takes place. I can't draw maps worth crap, but it has lots of pretty colors on it. And rest assured, I'll can it later for your viewing pleasure (with added confusion when you can't read my handwriting or figure out what all of those brightly colored blobs are).

The rework is going to have a lot of differences.... For one, I think I'm going to use nine dieties instead of seven, so it seems less like I'm directly stealing from George R. R. Martin, which of course I'm not. But it seems like I am... Of course, Aran Nines doesn't sound nearly as cool as Aran Sevens, so I'll have to works something out for that, as well.

The nine thing actually changes a good deal of the underlying story as well. Maybe I should make it five, so I have less to work with (nine dieties = eight countries, eight jewels, eight main parts of the story. Five would mean four of everything, which would make it much easier. But Aran Fives sounds even worse than Aran Nines. Grrrr.)

I'm probably going to do a MASSIVE detailed description of Eloria, it's history, etc. before I worry about reworking the plot. I think I'm going to have Aran and Juriah meet differently, and I'm not sure about the kidnapping of his fiance and such. There will be a lot of changes, not to mention major changes to the overall story arch, but like I said, I'm working more on Eloria right now than on the story itself....

BTW, for those not "in the know," Seven's Story is the hidden link, but I'm pretty sure I don't actually have it linked anywhere at the moment, so if you're really curious about the soon-to-be-outdated version, the first forty or so pages are here.

Juriah and Aran from Seven's Story. This is ok... Lots of small mistakes, but overall not too bad. Or... Something.

I should work on that story.
