Another Red Dwarf inspired doodle. Well, RD and the fact that they're showing previews for AI on payperview every thirty seconds, and I've never seen the movie, but whatever. Eh. Anyway, the ep of Red Dwarf was "Ouroboros" (Our Rob Or Ross, approximately) which is about infinite paradoxes and how Lister is his own father, and his ex-girlfriend, Kochanski, is his mother. I'd explain it if I could, but, um... Yeah, I can't. Anyway, somehow I ended up drawing this. Nothing exciting (normally I make things a bit smaller, but wanteed the text to be legible. Oh, and I forgot.) It also has vaguely to do with one of my few sci-fi stories and all that.

Wow, that was a way longer explanation that that doodle deserved.

The other thing was experimenting with Breena's formal wear and drew her (a bit more correctly than previously, actually). But I forgot to give it a unique filename and accidentally saved over the older sketch, so when I have Sam back, I'll have to repost that. Anyway. Breena Mystarin, Empress of Everything. (Well, Empress of Ledian, which if nothing else is the most powerful country in the world [um, their world] so that's like being Empress of Everything...)

I have more to post later, but first must scan it, but I'll be pretty busy this weekend, so maybe nothing until next week. Catch y'all on the flipside.

Gyah. I also need to give the Lads some luvin. Damn the Saga for being so... involved... anyway. Grrrr.

Addendum; having just checked the old picture, I was no where close on his hair or costune. But the old picture looks kind of retarded, so at least I've improved some, right? Right. I'll go with that.

Just some doodles I did whilst watching Red Dwarf last night. Nuthin' exciting.
Archer and again. Neither is great, and I've entirely forgotten what his costume looks like, which is really a sign that I should probably give Silver some attention this summer. Though I'm debating closing it when I close Blue (which, of course, I'm going to do eventually) and putting it here--it's a bit hard to explain, but Haven is going to expand to include a lot of the stuff (well, some of the stuff) from Blue, and that'll include unfinished projects, which Silver definitely is.

Just some thoughts.

Kara : Ok, so this is (pretty close to) my first attempt to ever draw someone doing something, and I like the way it turned out. I know the legs aren't great, but I figure I should give myself some slack; it's not like I have a lot of practice. I like the way her face turned out, I am slowly but surely improving my ability to draw facial expressions; and I think the hand drawing practice below did some good, as her hands turned out pretty well.

So.... Go me. I guess. Yay.

Reminder, as I'm doing further restructuring around here... If the file you want doesn't show up, try making it list/filename.jpg. 'Cause that's what all of the pictures are now.

Ha. Dad called the nice people at RoadRunner, and with their help beat his computer back into shape. Thus, here's everything I've been working on. Though most of it sucks.

Cleran sketch. I did this a week or so ago, actually, but was coloring it and never posted the sketch. So here you go. (Note to self; all black clothes look sexy in my mind but are a bitch and a half to actually color...)

I was bored during the Fun Fun Family Camping Trip last weekend, and thus bring you:
Lousy 1: Genevieve. I like the way her face and hair turned out; the rest got messed up.
Lousy 2: Greta. Her legs are fucked up, but I know more or less what I did wrong, so it's ok. Mostly.
Lousy 3 : Jolene. I got bored and never finished it, because that's how short my attention span is...

Last night:
Kaiya faceshot. It looked better before I slept on it.
Hands. Because I suck at drawing them and figured that maybe I should practice. I like how some of these came out, actually....

Bah. Anyway. If I get bored later, I shall torment you all with the Very First Ever Scene Featuring Kalin, written in... Oh, eighth or ninth grade sometime. It's bad, people. Baaaaaaaaaaaad. Heh.

I like how I said "that is all" and continued to bitch for three paragraphs.

I just want to point out that, although I have much to post here, I CAN'T. Because Windows is SHIT. And Dad's computer SUCKS.

That is all.

I'm just saying, though, on any Mac *I've* ever used (including the antiquated Bob) just restarting would have fixed EVERYTHING. Maybe, maybe I'd have to rebuild the desktop or start without extensions and give said computer a cookie, but it would WORK, Goddammit.

See, folks, THIS is why I like Macs. Virtually ANYTHING that goes wrong can be fixed by restarting, unless it's SERIOUSLY fucked; there's none of this random "I don't think I'll do something that I was perfectly able to do five minutes ago," shit. Either it's messed up or it's not; if it is, there are things you can do easily that even a computer moron (ie, me,) can do. Because, as stated, restarting is NOT FUCKING HARD.

And it's not that I don't understand PCs. I do. I can use them, if not as speedily as someone who does normally, decently; I shared Dad's PC for two or three years. (Admittedly, that was Win3.1, but still.) And I used Sid with almost no problems when Sammy had problems. (Sid = Vickie's PC.) But, but, but, gyaaaaaah. Goddamn evil empire.

They're playing Bringing on the Heartache again. Snerk.

Sometimes I get really, really into what's going on in a story, and just write. For hours at a time. Which I kind of did today, because we are totally at my favorite part of the Saga season 2, and after I posted chapter 12, I really really really wanted to get to my favorite thing ever (that being the end of chapter 13) so I just wrote. Until I got there. Which is how I just wrote a 10 page chapter in under 24 hours.

I think I'm going to break for a meal now, though.

HaHA!!!

Sorry, I just checked my statistics with addr for the first time in months, and am very happy. Because the directory that gets the most hits is the Saga, and then the main directory, and then the lads and then here. Then some more minor things, and *then* SMI. This makes me deeply happy, because until now, as far as I know, it has always brought the most traffic to my site, and that's always made me *nuts*. Because I hate hate hate hate it, and only leave it up for sentimental reasons, and it wasn't updated for, like, a year and a half and was *still* my most popular thing, but now it's not! Ha!

And the fact that the Saga is makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. (Updated last night, by the way.)

Although this confuses me. The top search words that find my site?

Ok, I get the ones that are part of Killer Queen, because they're in every page. I get the Batman ones. But don't they not even look at words like, "of" and "the"? And that last ne? Wierd.

But I'm happy. Yay.

Messy sketch... But I think I may clean it up and finish it. Wow, it's been a long time since I've done Islana non-dressed up. And I like her pose; that needs to be cleaned up too. I especially like how the hand gripping the sword is conveniently out of sight. Because I can't draw that. Heh.

There's another picutre that I really really want to post, but I won't... It's a total, total spoiler image, and it's the most important (or at least, my favorite) spoiler from the whole darned Saga, and... Grrrr. I'll post it then. (We're looking at some time after chapter 14.)

Great fricking timing... I'm listening to the radio, and writing an, um, interesting Islana-Cleran scene, and Bringing on the Heartache (Cleran's song for Islana) came on. Heh. And given the context of the scene... Just.... Heh.

Addendum: With hair, he's really cute!

...and goodness knows I love Sexy Lexy. *snerk*
Becky had too much free time at 11:51 AM

So I've been playing The Casting Game with the Saga... That is, when I've been laying awake at night (after finishing writing parpres, so five to six AM, usually...) I've been trying to figure out who I'd want to play characters if the Saga was a liveaction movie. It's difficult, because I insist on quality acting as well as correct looks... More so the first, actually. So here's the few I've come up with:

Kalin: Seth Green. I can't picture him with long hair, but I think he could do the broodiness and the attitude well, and he's the only one I can think of. Besides, I *heart* Seth Green. And it's my hypothetical movie...

Riss: Kirstin Dunst. She's cute. And perky. Yeah.

Kieris: Heath Ledger. Like you're surprised. He's blond and... Um, hot. Yeah.

....Any other thoughts? I'd love to get Harrison Ford in as Taylin, but he's a bit too old. Sadly.

Season Two:

Cleran: Mark Wahlberg. He's a bit old, but man, he can act. And he's sexy. And that's all I really want.

Ilyan: Paul Bettany. Or Michael Rosenbaum (with hair.) Although I think they'd play Ilyan very differently, I think they'd both be good at him. So either way....

Jall: John Spencer. Yeah, he kicks ass.

Any thoughts for Dysis? Or Erra? Anyone? Hellllp....

I got bored today in American Studies (shocker) and drew the cast of angels involved in the Saga. Mostly at least semi-SDed... Some better than others.

By far the worst. Ilyan Kelanister, Angel of Sacrifice. Sadly, it came out waaaay badly.

Hmmm. Islan, arch-angel of Freedom and Kaleal's right-hand man in the afterlife... I haven't really thought about what he looks like, so I have decided if this is accurate yet.

Cuuuute. Slenna Malistar, returned as the Angel of Mercy. This was the first one I did, and my second-favorite.

And finally... Kalin Malistar. Returned as the Angel'o'Peace. Awwwwww yeah...

Character Profile: Izellah Tiaret

Age: 23
Birthday: ..., 2146
Hair: waist length, brown, and curly; she has a million hair dressers and such
Eyes: hazel, and emotional
Distinguishing Trait: The super-expensive designer everything. If it isn't a brand name, she won't wear it.
Orientation: straight
Family: Father (Daddy Dearest,) probably a mother, somewhere… She's an only child.
Past Lives: Colin, William

Izellah is the only child of Mr. Tiaret, one of the business lords. TiaCo isn't as highly ranked as, say, Celey Corp, but it is fairly influential; thus, Izellah was raised like a Princess. But the future is an anti-feminist time, so she's spoiled rotten in a lot of ways, but she's not expected to do anything, except grow up and get married. Not only get married, but partake in an arranged marriage to help her father's business.
If it wasn't for the fact that there's more to Izellah that her spoiled Princess exterior, that wouldn't be a problem. But inside, Izellah does know what she wants—she wants to do business like her father. That's completely out of the question for a woman, so she'll settle for the next best thing, and plans to be the great woman behind some great man. As it is, she's damn good at manipulating her father in to pretty much whatever she wants, she only has to find out how to do that with her future husband (who she's always known would be a businessman,) and she figures she'll be set.
Unfortunately, her arranged fiance eventually turned out to be the drug-ridden Damon Celey we all know and love. At the time the bargain was struck between Nathan Celey and Zel's father, Damon was still bedridden and half-blind from his blitz addiction. But despite that, when he eventually was introduced to Zel, he managed to be his usual witty, charming self. Or at least, pretend to be.
Zel fell for him. A lot. She actually went so far as to keep a diary of every time she ever spoke with him, which fully illustrated both her fanatic (scary) tendencies, as well as the full scope of her love. Needless to say, she was heartbroken when she caught Damon with a prostitute, though it never occurred to her it was more than that. She now is extremely jaded towards her fiance; she loves him, but hates him for not loving her back. And not in a joking way, she actually literally hates him.
"Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned," was written to describe Izellah.

Now.... On to the present-day cast! Yay! (Or maybe the alterna-future cast. Mmmm.... Damon and Quin actually dating.... *cough*)
