Wednesday, September 24, 2003I think I'm taking this whole "notes drawing" thing to an extreme. No, really.-Arant kneeling -Arant again -Islana But my new favorites to draw? Guns and Glory. (Ahahahaha. "Guns and Glory." I crack me up.) So they're secretly the same person, but... y'know. They're fun to draw. Boring Gloria and her partner, Boring Guns. Neither picture is remarkable, but both are okay. I'm not quite sure what Gloria is doing with her glasses, but I really like the entire rest of the picture. This one is cute, too. (Her hair should usually be up with the chopsticks; I just like drawing it other ways occasionally. Not that I'm terribly good at it.) Meanwhile, Guns is ready to kick some ass. She also can walk, sort of. And then there are these two; the first one came out much closer to how I wanted it, though the second one was closer to finished. Y'know, it would be helpful if I could draw guns. Or hands. Or anything. I'm thinking I may want to do Guns Ablasin for NaNo this year... I have no villain, but I'm sure someone would come along... We'll see, I guess. Becky had too much free time at 11:48 PM
Thursday, September 18, 2003I had ice cream for breakfast. You envy my wreckless college lifestyle, don't you?Let's start with Image, wearing a hoodie. Nothing terriblly remarkable, but I like it anyway and think it turned out well. Next is just a plain body, but I like the proportions and such. I had Guns Ablasin on my mind, because someone in my anth class had really cool hair that I thought would work well for her, and so later that day I drew another version of Glory Paine, her alter ego. I dig the off the shoulder sweatshirt for some reason... Obviously changed up her outfit a bit, as the sweatpants have been replaced by a miniskirt and boots. Here's a face shot that's unremarkable, and a related character -- Glory Otylia. Not secretly the same person or anything... (God, I love backstory. Someday, when I have a villain, I'm gonna write that story.) Related, again, here's Tez, the sidekick. Minus his labcoat, because I forgot it. And here's Tez again, sitting. Ideally on a wall, but I didn't, like, draw the wall or anything. Pretty bad, but not outright awful. What would a day of drawing notes in class be without at least one shot of Kaiya, in this case, just standing there, not doing anything. It's been a long time since I've drawn her; I'd forgotten what her outfit looked like and had to fudge it. Turned out pretty well, though. And finally, Polly, a little grown up and with a different outfit. The L's got slanted too much so they look like a W, but that is, in fact, "llama" and not "wama". Because I don't know what a "wama" is. There were other things, but I forgot to upload them, so until next time. Becky had too much free time at 4:08 PM
