Hey, folks. My penname in the Newsies fandom is studentnumber24601, my nickname on the NML is Boston, but no one calls me either of those, so just call me B.
Anyway. This guide came about as a result of loving a movie and finding other people who did, and a love of writing. Most of the people within the fandom write fanfics, in fact, FFnet is probably the center of the fandom. It's a place be creative, to share personal takes on public domain characters, and to to develop people and plots that the movie couldn't have touched on.
Unfortunately, FFnet also has a lot of crap in it.
But even that's not so bad. There's a lot of crap that could be fixed up into something decent, and thus give me more to read when I ought to be doing homework. But a lot of people don't take the time to make things halfway decent. Either they're lazy or apathetic, and either way, they should take some time, step back, and improve.
So what is this? It's a resource. It's got tips and tricks to help anyone from a first-time or inexperienced writers, as well as articles and other such randomness to interest more experienced authors. Hopefully, something for everyone.
So take a minute, read through it, and maybe even learn something.
