All the theater geeks I know are dying.

So apparently there's a movie version of RENT in the works, to be directed by Chris Columbus (best known for the Harry Potter movies and Home Alone.)

So, Columbus is best known for wholesome, family movies, and this is not exactly up his alley. Apparently, this is a travesty.

I, having never seen RENT, don't really care one way or another. But the amusing thing? Rumors that Justin Timberlake is up for one of the roles.

The one with shitty fashion

I watched the finale of Friends out of some kind of twisted loyalty to this blog. I have no real commentary on it, because I stopped watching Friends long before Ross married that one British chick, and Monica and Chandler hooked up. I still know all the "plot" points somehow, but I never really watched it. Must See TV indeed.

I have two major complaints/questions about the finale, however:

1) Will Duck Jr. and Chick Jr. be on Joey's spin-off? and

2) Why on God's green earth was Jennifer Aniston wearing a micro-mini and hooker boots? For an intercontinental flight?! What the hell?!?!? I demand an explanation.

I'm Ashton Kutcher...and I'm awesome!!

Someone explain to me what kind of Faustian deal has created a warped alternative reality where Seth Green is guest starring on That 70's Show. It's been three or four episodes now. He's there, and his character is called "Mitch," and he's hilarious -- as he generally is -- but it makes! no! sense!!

Why would he be there? Didn't he have anything else to do? There must surely be a terrible remake that needs a snarky sidekick (The Italian Job) or a long-running and highly-regarded teen drama that needs a silent sidekick (Buffy) or a movie about boybands that needs a boyband-y sidekick (Josie and the Pussycats). Okay, I haven't seen that last one, but I assume that's what he was doing. On That 70's Show he's the obsessed-with-Donna sidekick, and while it makes the show much, much funnier than it normally is, that doesn't really say much. I suppose it sounds like I'm kidding, but I really really do think there must have been some kind of warped contract negotiation-gone-wrong to cause this. Anyone have some behind-the-scenes dirt?

Or, alternatively, anyone have a way to deal with the shame of watching this show every week?

you got it, dude

I have been increasingly skeeved out by the Olsen Twins on magazine covers for the last couple of years; now that New York Minute is on the verge of release they are everywhere and they are fucking creepy. Stop touching each other!!

Someone who agrees with me:
"...The girls will supposedly be worth a billion dollars by the time they're 21, but all my eye can see is taller, frighteningly thin versions of Full House's little monkey-faced baby."

On the other hand...

We've already seen Justin as Johnny Rotten's polar opposite, Elton John. No, really. Watch the video for "This Train..."
