Oh god. I don't know what to do. I'm worried I may be losing my mind.
I watched the trailer for Surviving Christmas.
And...
No. It's too horrible. I can't say it.
Okay, I... Well... I laughed.
Twice.
This is definitely a function of the 101 fever I currently have, right?
Right???

(Like so many things here at the Pop!Blog, I post this soley to prove a point to Nicole.)
So, the only thing that could make me reconsider my love for Matt Damon, would be a quote like the following: "[I've never voted and] my reasoning has always been that because I'm from Massachusetts, everyone I would have voted for didn't need my vote."
I was a politics major and am going to be teaching SOCIAL STUDIES and HISTORY, so shit like that doesn't fly with me. (Meanwhile Chucklehead Affleck is stumping for Kerry. Go figure.)
Matt's working on winning me back, though; "'That's changing now because of where we're going in this country. I'll vote for John Kerry.' Damon, 33, is trying to make amends for the 15 years he passed up the chance to exercise his right. He's donated $20,000 to the MoveOn.org Voter Fund."
It's a start, I suppose.

I just want to make it clear; I'm not ragging on Casey Affleck all the time because I dislike him or his acting. No. It's the moustache that gets me. I'm hoping it's a Clooney-inspired prank from the set of Ocean's 12, because otherwise... Jesus, Casey, you look like the janitor on One Day At A Time, and he was meant to be skeevy, even in the 70's.
Proof:

I read Penny Arcade because they are my people. The fact that I never, ever play video games doesn't seem to enter in to it. Anyway, case in point, today they had a link to 42 Words, a website celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. (Perhaps it is my favorite book because we both debuted in the same year?) Check it out for quotes on the books from such dork luminaries as Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, and the Guy in the Tron Costume.

Tom Welling is being asked to play Superman, y'all! Can you believe it?
No, I have not lost my mind. He's being asked by Brian Singer to sign to a two-picture deal to play Superman on the big screen.
What a wretchedly horrible idea.

Kevin Smith interviews Matt Damon in September's Arena magazine. Scans are online at newsaskew.com. It is a most excellent interview, and it explains a bunch of the outtakes on the Dogma DVD.
And now a pull quote chosen to make Becky giggle: [When you direct] would you cast Ben? Yeah, sure, I'd definitely cast him. Whatever you do, dude, don't cast whoever you're dating at the time, trust me. What if it's Ben? Fair point.
